In lieu of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast coming out soon, we have been busy making fun crafts and recipes to celebrate. Today we are sharing a beautiful and easy Enchanted Roses Bead Craft.

DIY Enchanted Rose in a Jar craft

We just got some great beads from Oriental Trading Co. and I knew that they would be perfect to make miniature Enchanted Roses with. Oriental Trading Co. has a great selection of Valentine’s Day supplies. Be sure to check them out!

I started playing around with them and loved how it turned out, so I wanted to share them with you! I found the mini jars at Dollar Tree (they are Salt and Pepper Shakers). I used gold craft wire and the Valentine Seed Beads (1mm) in red to make the roses. Use the wire cutters to grip the end (without cutting it) to twist around a bit to make a “knot” to keep the beads from coming off. Then take the other end and string the beads onto the wire. I just dumped some of the beads into the lid of the bead jar, and push the wire into the bead. It went pretty fast. Once you have a few inches worth of beads on the wire, you will want to wind the wire up, creating a fun design to look like a rose. Keep the beads tight. Once you have the beaded part designed into a rose, you will take the remaining wire and thread it through the rose a  couple of times, pulling it tight, to secure it all in place.

Now you have the rose part completed, you will take the wire cutters again and use them to twist a small part of the wire into a leaf. Once you have the Enchanted Rose finished, you will want to thread it through the holes on the lid, twisting the wire together like a twisty tie, after each one to keep it secure and tight. Trim the excess wire. Now screw the lid onto the jar and put it upside down so the rose is standing up. I used rub-on letters and designs on my jars to give them some personality and so my kids would know who’s jar was who’s. This was a lot of fun and each one only takes about 10 minutes. I would love to know how yours turns out!

Here is a little bit more about  Disney’s Beauty and the Beast that comes out March 17, 2017

Disney's Beauty and the Beast

The story and characters audiences know and love come to spectacular life in the live-action adaptation of Disney’s animated classic “Beauty and the Beast,” a stunning, cinematic event celebrating one of the most beloved tales ever told. “Beauty and theBeast” is the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a Beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast’s hideous exterior andrealize the kind heart of the true Prince within. The film stars: Emma Watson as Belle; Dan Stevens as the Beast; Luke Evans as Gaston, the handsome, but shallow villager who woos Belle; Kevin Kline as Maurice, Belle’s father; Josh Gad as LeFou, Gaston’s long-suffering aide-de-camp; Ewan McGregor as Lumière, the candelabra; Stanley Tucci as Maestro Cadenza, the harpsichord; Audra McDonald as Madame de Garderobe, the wardrobe; Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette, the feather duster; Hattie Morahan as the enchantress; and Nathan Mack as Chip, the teacup; with Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, the mantel clock; and Emma Thompson as the teapot, Mrs. Potts.

Directed by Bill Condon based on the 1991 animated film, “Beauty and the Beast,” the screenplay is written by Stephen Chbosky and Evan Spiliotopoulos and produced by Mandeville Films’ David Hoberman, p.g.a. and Todd Lieberman, p.g.a. with Jeffrey Silver, Thomas Schumacher and Don Hahn serving as executive producers. Alan Menken, who won two Academy Awards® (Best Original Score and Best Song) for the animated film, provides the score, which includes new recordings of the original songs written by Menken and Howard Ashman, as well as three new songs written by Menken and Tim Rice. “Beauty and the Beast” will be released in U.S. theaters on March 17, 2017.

That was one of the cutest rose I have seen and I am so excited from the fact that I can do it by myself. I will certainly do that as a remembrance of watching Beauty and the Beast this 2017. I love Emma Watson and was so happy to know that she will be in the leading role as Belle.
